Page Vest — how we handle data

Collection

Page Vest processes on-device and in-transit data only when you open the panel on a normal web page:

1. Hostname and full URL of that tab.
2. On-page audit fields derived from public markup.
3. Load panel statistics from observed requests.
4. Similarweb lookup for the displayed domain.
5. Extension preferences: cache entries and recent hosts in local storage.

Credentials, form autofill, and card numbers are out of scope and not intentionally accessed.

Handling & purpose

We combine these inputs to show rank estimates, structure review, and transfer breakdown. Support emails are handled manually and not merged into extension telemetry.

Storage practices

Ten-minute metric cache, bounded recents list, no Page Vest-operated login cloud.

Sharing

No sale of personal information. Similarweb and flag CDN as described in store materials. Subpoenas or safety issues may trigger disclosure.

• webRequest — byte/count stats
• activeTab / tabs / scripting — user-initiated audit
• <all_urls> — content bridge on analyzed pages
